It is time to finalize the group previews for World Cyber Games, as we have reached the very last group and it is time to tell you what will go down in Group H.
Group H is a a group of five, it will be up to two teams to decide, who advance as first and who as second. The teams have following lineups:
Just as Group G, it is down to two teams to decide, who will claim top spot and who will advance in second place. American qualification winners from Evil Geniuses come into World Cyber Games with a third place finish at ESEA Invite Season Four. The team will, however, be forced be forced to use a standin for the competition, as their Finnish member Tomi "lurppi"s Kovanen, is unable to play, due to nationality issues. The team will use Travis "tuBBy" Bechtol, who also helped the team win the American qualifier.
They could possibly be slight favorites in this group, but is going to be close. They will face off against the Ukrainian representative from HellRaisers, expecting that these two teams will be the only ones able to fight for further participation in WCG 2009.
The former DTS.chatix arrive in Chengdu with a wide series of mixed results. The form has been going up and down for the team recently, but they will have to pull the strings together in Chengdu, if want to make it further than the round of 16. Beating Evil Geniuses might be an uphill struggle for HellRaisers, but it could also be the opposite, if they hit their winning-streak, where they usually are hard to stop, they could go for a win. It is going to be between these two teams, to decide first and second place.
Hailing from the United Arab Emirates, Lords of Heaven attend WCG 2009 in hope of putting up a great show. With the recent Global Challenge in Dubai, it is obvious, that the teams from the country with its high exclusivity have to gain new heights, to reach level of the international top teams. Last year in Cologne, the UAE representative Assassins List were able to get a max of four rounds, against the Finnish top team of the group. It might be possible for LoH to cash in more rounds this year, but nothing more than that and possible a third place in the group, is what the team will manage.
Indian team NSD will be in a in-fight with _u5_ not to place bottom last in this group. A good result against LoH could even grant them third place in the group, if they hit a strong stream against the team hailing from UAE.
Expected to place bottom last, _u5_ from Pakistan are eager to improve its country’s match-record at WCG, where a fifth place of the group was secured buy the 2008 representatives from Incredibles. Also we can expect from them a possible upset against LoH or NSD, to move up one spot.
Reports indicate that the Indian representative will not make it to Chengdu. Untill further noticed, we assume that they will make it.
